As twilight fades to dawn
And the world begins to awaken
One begins to wonder
Of the pleasures the night has taken

A lover’s kiss
With desire is given
Another’s promises broken
Wait to be forgiven

For those whose hearts are hurting

A wish to twist the fates
Awaiting choices decided
Heartbeats hesitate

Breaking light illuminates
Waking realizations find
The trust once thought shattered
