*Sex*



SEX

I welcome post topic suggestions and I will try and write a post about each. This is one topic I wanted to avoid but a friend suggested it. He said it would ‘show your range and diversity’ and since I think he is ‘cute as a bug’ I will slay this dragon. Now… as I know he is reading this I will say… ‘Careful what you wish for darling because you just may get your wish.’

Sex as defined by the Microsoft Encarta Dictionary is: male or female gender; sexual activity or sexual intercourse. It is also defined as: prefix six – sextet. There are many types of SEX: asexuality, bi-sexuality, homosexuality, heterosexuality, beastiality and I am sure many more that I care not to delve into. Sexual intercourse is engaged in for the purpose of pleasure, aggression, domination and reproduction.

Here are some interesting or maybe not so interesting facts about SEX:
  • Humans, Bonobo monkeys, and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.
  • Turkeys can reproduce without having sex. It's called parthenogenesis.
  • A pig's orgasm lasts for 30 minutes.
  • 85% of men who die of heart attacks during intercourse, are found to have been cheating on their wives.
  • Some lions mate over 50 times a day.
  • Males, on average, think about sex every 7 seconds.
  • 25% of women think money makes a man sexier.
  • "Formicophilia" is the fetish for having small insects crawl on your genitals. Gross!!
  • A man's beard grows fastest when he anticipates sex.
  • For every 'normal' web page, there are five porn pages.
  • Impotence is grounds for divorce in 26 U.S. states.
  • During the female orgasm, endorphines are released, which are powerful painkillers. So headaches are in fact a bad excuse not to have sex.
  • On any given day 400,000,000 people around the world (1 in 17 of us) will have sexual intercourse. Broken down further, about 4,000 people are having sex right now.
  • The average lovemaking session lasts around 15 minutes: Consisting of roughly 10 to 12 minutes of foreplay and around 3 to 5 minutes of intercourse.
  • Homosexuality is not unique to humans: Many species have been observed engaging in homosexual activity; and male bats have the highest rate of homosexuality in all mammals.
  • Many elderly people can and do have frequent sex: At age 70 — 73% of males are still potent; and 30% of women aged 80 or older still have sex.
